How To Do A Body Roll
Remember when you first started dancing and were a little awkward with the body roll? Or are you new to dance and are dying to learn it? The Body Roll is a classic dance move used in many choreographies. Nailing this move down is gonna make you feel VERY empowered and skilled! Depending on your aptitude for learning dance, you may need a lot of practice and focus, so take the baby steps you need and build this skill up for class. Practice makes confidence!
There are different types of body rolls, but all require understanding what parts of the body to isolate and engage, then connect all your isolations together in a smooth body roll, perfect for classes and the clubs~
Let’s keep a few things in mind! Before you start, make sure you’re warmed up, and keep your core engaged throughout the movement! That means you’re contracting your abdominal muscles, by pulling your belly in and holding it as if it were touching your spine.
